Our technicians are NFI Certfied and Factory trained by Harman, St. Croix, Enviro, and Lennox.

As your local authorized Harman dealer, The Stove Center offers a number of services including Harman stove and fireplace installation. If you live in the southeastern Massachusetts region in cities such as Plymouth and Cape Cod, you’ll enjoy the convenience of wood and pellet delivery straight to your doorstep.

Harman Stove and Fireplace Installation

Whether you choose to have a wood or pellet stove, or a fireplace insert installed, our fully licensed and insured team is available to answer your questions and ensure your stove or fireplace is installed according to manufacturer instructions and industry standards.

In the state of Massachusetts, you’re required to obtain a building code before the installation of any wood, pellet or coal stove and fireplace as stated by the Massachusetts State Building Code. Once it’s been installed, it needs to be inspected before it’s first use.

Other facts you’ll need to know include:

You’re required to have a 3-foot circle or 36” of clear space around the appliance to prevent contact with the heat.

Your new heating appliance cannot share a flue with another type of solid fuel.

Service Locations & Rates

NOTE: A DEPOSIT EQUAL TO THE FEE FOR THE FIRST HOUR IS DUE AT THE TIME OF BOOKING. 24 hours notice is required for all cancellations, failure to provide notice will result in the loss of the deposit.

Below is a map of the locations we service. Rates listed below are for the first hour of service. All work after the first hour is billed at $140 an hour, and may be billed in increments of 15 minutes.

Wood and Pellet

The Stove Center offers a variety of types of wood pellets such as softwood blends, Douglas Fir, and premium hardwood blends. You can also choose from different firewoods such as Smart Logs, Bio Bricks or semi-seasoned firewood.

We no longer offer fuel delivery.

Harman Stove Maintenance Tips

While Harman stoves are clean-burning and highly-efficient, they still need a bit of maintenance like any other appliance.

Here are a few tips on keeping your Harman stove or fireplace running smoothly in your southeastern Massachusetts home for years to come:

Burn only the proper type of wood. Use only seasoned firewood if you have a wood-burning stove to prevent the build-up of creosote and soot. Burning ‘green’ firewood which hasn’t been properly dried contributes to creosote creation and becomes a potential fire hazard.

Clean the fireplace glass doors regularly. After normal, frequent use, you’ll notice your glass doors may become dirty. A quality glass door cleaner such as Rutland White Off Glass Cleaner helps keep your door clear of soot. Make sure the glass has completely cooled down before cleaning.

Schedule an annual inspection. It’s strongly recommended that you have your fireplace inspected at least once a year by a professional, preferably one that is knowledgeable about Harman.

Regular pellet stove maintenance. If you have a pellet stove, you’ll need to do a few regular maintenance tasks such as emptying the ash tray, cleaning the burn pot and heat exchanger.
